Flying Machine is India's first home bred jeans brand, owned by Arvind Mills' garments division. Born in the year 1980, Flying Machine was considered a cult for the next 10 years. It’s really hard to find a fashion conscious male from that time in India who didn't wear denim’s made by Flying Machine.
Flying Machine roped in the Italian designer Chicco (pronounced Khee-co) in 2007 to bring out a new line of apparel and concept stores spread across the North South and West of India.
Chicco started his design career 11 years ago (he's 33) with the famous Italian brand Replay, designed stuff for ‘Brad Pitt’ and ‘Beyonce’ and then went on to co-own a company that produced premium denims in Europe.
Arvind Mills also recognized the need to keep pace with the rapid changes in India with the new store design, an international collaboration of Italian style, Indian craftsmanship had come together to launch a new urban youth fashion store 'Flying Machine' in India, designed by JHP - London.
