Jazz Music Festival 2016 at Phoenix Marketcity Chennai is back for its 3rd edition. A 2-day music festival dedicated to Jazz music and it's lovers. ‘Jazz Music Festival 2016’, an annual festival that aims to fuel the jazz following in the city of Chennai by bringing in artists from Europe, Southern America and India.

Day 1
Amyt Datta is a guitarist, composer, and producer from Kolkata. He is also a session musician, teacher and mentor. Datta, who commands a sort of demigod status with guitar fans across the country, is widely acknowledged to be one of the most innovative guitarists around today.

Matteo Fraboni Trio will present some original songs from the leader, the Italian drummer Matteo Fraboni, and also revisit standards from the American song book, mixing different grooves from Drum 'n Bass to Reggae with a unique sound made by the effects of Loic Sanlaville on guitar, the natural sound of the trombone by Stephen McEntee, mixed with the infinite sound of a drum set.

Shubhangi Joshi Trio by singer songwriter and guitarist Shubhangi from Mumbai, where the genre of music is acoustic with elements of jazz and soul. She released her debut EP 'Talking away the night' last year, and have since performed at various venues and media such as VH1 India, MTV Indies, Youtube Fanfest and others.

Day 2
Maarten Visser - Between 1994 and 1998 Maarten Visser studies saxophone at the ‘Brabants Conservatorium (Netherlands), composes for a number of groups he plays for. After finishing conservatory in 1998 he goes to Chennai (India) to study carnatic music. In 2000 he starts collaboration with choreographer Padmini Chettur, composes music for. ‘Segment of a Solo’ (2000), ‘Fragility’ (2001), ‘3 Solos’ (2003), ‘Paperdoll’ (2005)’,

Generation consists of 3 band members:

• Mohini Dey (Bass Guitar/Vocals): Mohini Is a 19 years old Bass Guitarist from Mumbai & Daughter of Joy, been described as prodigy by many acclaimed musicians and also the Most Successful Musician UNDER30 By "Forbes India“

• Esani Dey (Lead Guitar): She has played in TV Shows like MTV Unplugged S2 and S3. She has played with Artists like AR Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Louiz Banks, Uttam Singh, etc. She has been listed as the most Youngest Musician in India.

• Gino Banks (Drums): Son of Louiz Banks, India 's legendary jazz pianist and composer, he toured Australia and China with his fathers' indo-jazz fusion band SANGAM playing percussion when he was just 9 years old.
